There are certain foods that help to burn fat. These are always at the top list when it comes to eating a healthy diet. Nutrients that are loaded with protein and fiber are the best categories of food to eat if you want to burn fat in your body.

Features of the foods for burning fat

That burn more calories than the food itself provide (like celery)
Those hold elements that burn body fat (like calcium)
That restrain the appetite and thus enable you to remove unnecessary stored fat (like grapefruit)
That enables you to stay full and hence empower you to use up undesired body fat (like good fats and fiber rich food)
Not only that foods that improve the metabolism (like chillies).

In general, these fat-burning foods are natural herb nutrients. Long story short, dairy products may be fat burners as well. A point to keep in mind, negative calorie foods are foods that call for more calories to assimilate than the nutritional value they enclose. By eating these fat-burning foods you actually lose more calories than you gain thus burning fat.

What about calories?

A number of sources of protein are too high in calories and fat to be on the list of nutrients that can be ingested in almost any quantity. Therefore, protein is rougher to digest, the body burns more calories arranging it. It’s too easy to eat snacks that are high in calories, fats, and sugar without giving it a second thought.

They have almost no calories and they fill you up. Interestingly, coffee and the new, common energy drinks will help dissolve the fat by burning more calories. The fat burning secret to losing weight is to eat and drink until you are filled and satisfied and eat foods that burn more calories than you take in. Also, a salad with low-fat dressing or vinegar and oil are great at filling you up without the calories and fat.

Make sure your salad contains only vegetables – no pasta or potatoes.  Use lots of fresh vegetables like lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers, zucchini, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Don’t eat a little salad with a whole lot of dressing.  Use only 1 – 2 tablespoons of low-fat dressing.  You can also add a few nuts or sunflower seeds for some crunchiness.  No croutons!

What to eat?


Hot or cold: Keep your soups a broth-based soup – no cream soups.  Again use lots of vegetables. If you like cheese with your soup be sure and use low-fat cheese and limit how much you add.  Don’t load up on crackers and make sure they are also low fat.


Don’t think of watermelon just for picnics.  Eat this great fruit all year round if your grocer carries it. The fruit is also a great source of beta carotene and lycopene which not only helps in weight loss, but in building a good immune system.  Its juice is also wonderful especially when added to iced tea!

Grill your vegetables: 

A great way to eat your vegetables is to grill them. Grill, not fry. Eggplant, zucchini, carrots, onion, asparagus, and tomatoes are great when grilled. Brush veggies with just a little bit of olive oil and spices and put them on the grill along with chicken or fish, if you are a non-vegetarian.

Drink water:

Drink lots of water. It’s the best beverage for you to drink. Tea is also good as long as you don’t load it with sugar or sweetener.  If you can’t drink your tea without a sweetener, try cutting back a little bit at a time until you get used to drinking tea without any sweetener or at least very little sweetener.

Diet soft drinks may have zero calories or very little calories, but they aren’t healthy. Cut back a little bit at a time on your soft drinks until you are drinking none at all or not more than once in two weeks. But you still need to drink water throughout your day.


They are a great substitute for high fat and high-calorie desserts. Fruit salads are fun to eat and aren’t as boring as sitting down to just an apple or just an orange.  Fruit juice is also a good low-calorie beverage.


They are known for their cholesterol-lowering properties. It is yet another healthy food loaded with fibre. It also gives you a little more than t 25 per cent of your daily iron needs. Being a very good source of folate is an added plus for women in their childbearing years.


Not only does it keep the doctor at bay, it helps you lose weight too. Apples fit the bill for a satisfying yet low-calorie snack. It has lots of fibre that cleanses and Vitamin C that helps in burning fat. It also contains antioxidants that help your body regenerate damaged cells.


Just because you’re on a diet doesn’t mean you should hold out on the spices. Studies have proven that spicy foods have a thermogenic effect on your body. Meaning it speeds up your metabolism. Putting pepper in your food also helps you eat more slowly. You can’t just wolf down spicy food. As mentioned earlier, eating slowly gives your brain time to register the feeling of fullness so overeating spicy food isn’t likely.


Eating this had become controversial when it became a fad. While it is undoubtedly true that it helps you lose weight, a diet consisting of nothing but grapefruit is harmful in the long run. Eating at least three servings a day along with your regular diet could already help you lose weight. It is highly acidic which may contribute to its fat-fighting ability. Loaded with Vitamins A, C and antioxidants, it’s a health food beyond compare.

All of the above foods can be eaten alone as a meal or combined with other low-fat food items to make a meal. Meals don’t have to be a bore just because you are trying to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Experiment and have fun!

This is a good way to charge electric vehicles, which involves exchanging discharged batteries for charged ones. This de-links charging and battery usage, so the vehicle can stay in the operational mode with minimal downtime.
